She was the highlight of the 2003 Verden Autumn Auction! Diandra was her name when she showed up at the auction at the age of three. The legendary Donnerhall is her sire with the bloodline of Alabaster – Glorieux – Grundstein on the maternal side of the pedigree. Her breeder, Kerstin Albers-Büker, knew that Diandra would develop into a special young horse, and she entrusted her training for the auction to the auction riders Meike Friemel and Melanie Wiechmann.
The sale of Diandra on October 11 was certainly one of the most fascinating and moving moments of auction history. The bidding duel was incredibly exciting – auctioneer Friedrich-Wilhelm Isernhagen finally dropped the hammer at Euro 185,00, and Linda Swande from Spain became the lucky new owner.
Linda Swande carefully trained the black mare up to the Grand Prix level, under her new name Private Diandra. Linda’s daughter Celine Milton-Swande took over the ride successfully. Celine was nominated for the Swedish junior team with the now 15-year-old mare, and she has already successfully participated at the Dressage Festival in Vidauban.
The success is no accident. Private Diandra’s dam Alhambra is granddam of the licensed stallion Soliman de Hus by Sandro Hit, who was successful up to advanced dressage level, and great-granddam of the Celle state stud stallion Talisman, by Totilas.
