Verden Press Release. 43 bids were placed for Sir Colorful. At the end of the fourth online auction of the Verden Foal Spring it was clear: The chestnut colt was the top priced foal and found a new owner in Canada for 21,500 Euros. The average price paid for Hannover’s youngsters was 8,146 Euros.
At the final bid up of the fourth online auction of the Verden Foal Spring, the interested parties made it exciting. When it came to the final bid up on Thursday evening at 7 p.m., there was a lively back and forth of bids. 13 bidders liked the Shu Fu/De Niro son Sir Colorful (breeder and exhibitor: Holger Dierks, Hamburg). The bid was accepted at 21,500 Euros. He will grow up together with the price leader of the previous foal auction, Status Quo II, in the Quebec area.
The highest price among the jumping foals was achieved by Haily by Hardrock Z/Vigo D’Asouilles (breeder and exhibitor: Zuchtgemeinschaft Janßen und Schubert, Niederlangen). The expressive filly was auctioned off for 13,500 Euros to buyers from Hungary, who found what they were looking for for the first time in Verden.
Overall, the international interest was very high. Apart from the two price peaks, another 14 of the 29 foals will change nationality. Three foals were auctioned to Belgium, two each to Argentina and Hungary.
The last online auction of the Verden Foal Spring will take place on Thursday, June 23.
