Peter was the middle of the three showjumping Leone brothers, all of whom rode for the United States. He was a member of the silver medal winning US team at the Atlanta Games.

Peter Leone learned from Bertelan de Nemethy, George Morris, Frank Chapot and Micheal Matz, and put the knowledge to good use in his book, Peter Leone’s Show Jumping Clinic published in 2012.
