Kristina, and her showjumper cousin, Jan, are based at the Gestüt Sprehe, owned by her father and his brother. Kristina has a degree in Business Administration.

Riding the Hanoverian stallion, Desparados, she was in the German silver medal winning team at the London Olympics (individually 8^th), the gold medal winning team at the Euros at Herning (5^th) and the Gold Medal team at the WEG in Normandy 2014 (4^th and 3^rd)

Kristina told THM she was surprised to find herself at the London Games:

“It was a big surprise for me – if you’d asked me six months ago, there is no way I would be in the team, but luckily I am very calm and can just concentrate on what I have to do. I don’t think about anything else, just focus on the competition.”
