A very successful breeder of jumping horses, Herman has been chairman of the BWP Provence of Oost Vlaanderen. At the 2015 European Championships in Aachen, Herman de Brabander was the breeder of two of the top 20 horses are the championships: Flora de Mariposa and Cantinero. He was the BWP Breeder of the Year 2014.
