A lunge lesson with Malcolm Barns

Malcolm Barns was one Australian rider who realized that travel to Europe was absolutely essential if his understanding of the Equestrian Art was to progress. Malcolm studied in England and in Germany - and took the (at that stage) unthinkable gamble of shipping his Thoroughbred stallion, Hawa Mahal over with him. ‘Aubery’ performed with distinction in Europe, and returned to Australia where he sired many very good dressage horses, and died only recently.
