Müseler, Wilhelm

Growing up in Berlin, Wilhelm Müseler first excelled as an athlete before he joined the Cavalry. In the years leading up to WWI, he competed with success in dressage and showjumping and was a member of the German team. After the War ended, Müseler left the army and became the director of the largest equestrian centre in Berlin.
In 1931, he gave up riding because of his health problems and wrote his classic, Riding Logic. From 1932 onwards, Müseler wrote on the history of art.
