Elizabeth was born in Brisbane but grew up in WA where she attended the University of WA, completing an Honours degree in Agricultural Science. She has been employed as an animal nutritionist throughout Australia for over 30 years, maintaining a strong interest in equine nutrition which was rewarded with a role as Consulting Nutritionist to the International horses at the World Three Day Event Championships in 1986, Consulting Nutritionist to Australia’s Equestrian Team until 2004 and involvement in the provision of feed and nutrition services to the equestrian venue at the Olympic Games in 2008.
Recently Elizabeth has been appointed Chef d’Equipe for the Australian Dressage team for WEG 2014.
Liz is a Board member of the McIntyre Centre RDA, is on the RIRDC Equine Committee, is an Adjunct Lecturer in Nutrition at the University of Qld and is frequently invited as a speaker at local and international conferences on equine nutrition.
Elizabeth has won 5 National dressage titles at FEI level, named as a member of the Olympic Athlete program from 1996 to 1999, and represented Australia in dressage at the highest level on two occasions. She is a B level judge and also coaches. Elizabeth has been trained by Nadine Merewether, Glenn Fryer, Harry Boldt, Gyula Dallos (Hungary), Brett Parbery and Irene Bakels-Noreen.
