Valentina commenced riding at the age of four and competing at the age of twelve, coached by her father, international rider and judge, Enzo. Valentina was a medallist at the 2004 European Junior Championships and in 2011 was the first Italian to win at World Cup qualifier, at Frankfurt. Valentina competed at the London Olympic Games on Fixdesign Eremo del Castegno, where the combination finished in 15^th place.
